Forest Hill

A small London garden, designed for maximal beauty in minimal space.

This garden is intimately inhabited throughout the year thanks to the adjoining house’s floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall glazing. Planting was conceived to give year-round drama and beauty, while also providing a backdrop for living which would be tranquil yet ever-changing through the seasons.

Bold architectural elements including yew topiary and pleached crab apples form a permanent structural framework through which softer and wilder herbaceous planting ebbs and flows.

This year, the garden will be open to visits via the National Garden Scheme on Sunday 25th May.
